Resolved/Configuration - The sent e-mails containing attachments do not move to 'Sent' folder, hanging in 'Outbox' folder of an e-mail client

DESCRIPTION

The sent e-mails containing attachments do not move to Sent Items folder, hanging in Outbox folder of an e-mail client. The recipient may receive multiple instances of the message in this case.

COMMENTS

This is a known issue resolved in version 7.2.

RECOMMENDATION

Upgrade to the latest version of DeviceLock (7.2 or a later one).

WORKAROUND

1. In case upgrade is not an option, increasing the value of Server timeouts (MS Outlook) parameter (or a matching parameter for other e-mail clients) may help. The general correlation is: Server timeouts=5 minutes allows flawlessly sending messages with 1 to 5 Mb size attachments, Server timeouts=10 minutes - for attachments of 5 to 10 Mb size;
2. In some cases, disabling the mail filter of antivirus software (tested with Symantec and Avast) may help.
