DESCRIPTION

Creating or updating DeviceLock database on MS SQL Server 2012 fails returning the "[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Could not find stored procedure 'sp_dboption'" error.

COMMENTS

This is a know compatibility issue of all DeviceLock versions up to version 7.2.

RECOMMENDATIONS

createdb641.sql (33.73 kb)

1. Upgrade to DeviceLock version 7.2 or later;

2. Use the attached script(applicable to versions 7.0-7.1). It creates "DeviceLockDB" database through SQL Management Studio.*

Once the script work is finished, re-run DeviceLock Enterprise Server installation routine, and specify the name of database created with the above script (!) in the 'database name' fiels. DeviceLock Enterprise Server will now successfully upgrade the database.

*If you need the database to have a different name, edit the script to change the "DeviceLockDB" name to a desired name.
