Configuration - Resolving "Access is Denied (5)" Message when Authenticating via DeviceLock Administrators or Server Administrators Account
Access denied (5) error when trying to connect to DeviceLock Service, DeviceLock Enterprise Server, or DeviceLock Content Security Server via DeviceLock Management Console, or DeviceLock Enterprise Manager. DeviceLock Administrators (for DeviceLock Service), or Server Administrators (for DeviceLock Enterprise Server, or DeviceLock Content Security Server) functionality is enabled.
Installing, updating, uninstalling and managing DeviceLock Service, DeviceLock Enterprise Server, or DeviceLock Content Security Server requires local administrative privileges for the account used to perform the above tasks on the computer where one or more of the components are running.
Add an account that does have local administrative privileges on the computer you are connecting to, to DeviceLock/Server Administrators list. For DeviceLock Enterprise Server and DeviceLock Content Security Server, make sure that the same account is used for server connection in servers’ properties (“Log on as” parameter).
