Configuration - Resolving Sudden System Crashes and/or Sudden Restarts
Sudden system crash or system restart (depending on the system behavior configured in Windows’ ‘Startup and Recovery’).
The fatal error is intentionally caused by DeviceLock in the framework of protecting against various rootkits. This only happens when ’Enable unhook protection’ functionality is enabled. Mostly caused by antivirus, firewall, or other low-level third party software defining DeviceLock Service as a threat and trying to impact it, which triggers DeviceLock to immediately cause the system crash or sudden restart.
An administrator can either disable the unhook protection in Service Options -> DeviceLock Administrators, or investigate the conditions under which the above third-party software tries to impact the DeviceLock Service, and eliminate them.
