Configuration - Resolving "Access is Denied (5)" Message when Accessing a File Hosted Container
When trying to access a TrueCrypt’s or SafeDisk’s file-hosted container error ‘Access is denied’ (5) is returned.
The error indicates that TrueCrypt or SafeDisk product is installed on the computer where DeviceLock Service is running and Integration is enabled. Permissions for Removable allow access to Encrypted media only.
To get access to a TrueCrypt’s “File-hosted” or SafeDisk container and work with its content, the user should have at least read access to unencrypted (Generic) Removable devices.
