DeviceLock’s full DLP Suite differentiates among competitors per Forrester® paper

DeviceLock, Inc., an international leader in endpoint data leak prevention (DLP) software, was among 37 “DLP” companies covered in the latest Forrester® Research, Inc. paper for this category entitled Now Tech: Data Loss Prevention, Q1 2019. Building from the last Data Loss Prevention Suites Forrester WaveTM report from Q4/2016 where DeviceLock was solidly in its “Contender” position as compared to other full Suite providers, the most current Forrester® DLP paper reveals that DeviceLock is currently one of only 10 recognized providers that have a full content-aware DLP Suite to offer customers. All others listed in the report were considered either just “feature/channel” providers or were limited to being just “managed service” providers in the DLP space.

This full DLP Suite level designation is important to note when customers are considering their content security choices for sensitive data, especially when constrained by budgetary and/or regulatory compliance requirements. It has been shown in several different industry analyst reports that, as a trend, customers prefer more features within one integrated Suite, than to have to cobble together various solutions from multiple vendors. By Forrester’s designation as a full Suite provider, DeviceLock belongs in the special tier with other functionally complete and flexible DLP Suite solutions. Moreover, between the 2016 and 2019 reports, DeviceLock has further enhanced its full DLP Suite feature set by adding data fingerprint filtering options with data classifications, including several more NetworkLock-managed websites, and providing full integration with the Boldon James Classifier solution from QinetiQ’s well known data security company.

With every new version, DeviceLock DLP is enhanced with additional functions and components in order to make it more universal and valuable to our customers,” emphasized Ashot Oganesyan, DeviceLock CTO and Founder, “but its fundamental design and architecture based on a deep integration with Microsoft Active Directory’s native management tools, objects, and mechanisms make our endpoint DLP suite the most scalable and easy to deploy, learn, and use on the market – as confirmed by many DeviceLock customers in the US, Europe, Middle East, and Japan.

The DeviceLock DLP solution addresses the needs of organizations that require a simple and affordable approach to preventing data leaks from corporate Windows and Mac laptops, desktop computers, and virtualized Windows sessions and applications. DeviceLock DLP implements and effectively coordinates a full-featured set of contextual and content-aware controls over data-in-use, data-in-motion, and data-at-rest that is designed specifically for preventing information leaks from endpoints without unnecessarily interrupting normal business processes. The DeviceLock DLP solution is designed to effortlessly scale from small to large installations and to simplify DLP deployment and management such that it can usually be performed by in-house Windows administrators using the Microsoft Active Directory’s Group Policy Management Console or DeviceLock’s companion consoles. The complete package delivers an unprecedented level of functionality among endpoint DLP solutions in an easily affordable price range.
