I have recently deployed DL. I want to set whitelists per PC which work OK but then get overwritten by DSL. Please help!
Am I missing something???? |

I have set a small amount of users to have access to USB ports....everyone else needs to be denied access, apart from devices which I have put in the whitelist in DL management console for individual machines. A short while after I have put the device in the whitelist, it gets overwritten by the policy file and the access which has been given is no longer there.
Hope this helps! |

PLEASE HELP!
If this makes it any clearer....Regardless of the latest service settings I apply by any means....they get overwritten over a short period of time by the very first service settings I created, which are not the settings I need to be applied. As far as I was aware I got rid of these but they are obviously being picked up from somewhere! MY USERS ARE ABOUT TO LINCH ME!!!! |

Did you originally use Group Policy for DL settings, and is that GPO still linked and active?
If so, it will generally overwrite any conflicting DL settings you may have pushed out from a "regular" DL admin console every 90 minutes. If using a DL GPO, all changes to the policy should be made at the DL GPO level, especially with white listed devices as the GPO would only be looking at the whitelist database and assignements it has...and not the one from your DL admin console host computer. |

Thanks for your reply!
I wasn't using GP at all at the time of posting this problem, but I have since tried using GP instead and it seems to be pretty much working the way I want now! Thanks anyway! |
