Since we've been using Device Lock with Group Policy, our Primary Domain Controller's Application Event Log has been filling up with Group Policy errors.

There are two errors that occur every 30-60 minutes.

First Error

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Userenv
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1058
Date: 12/18/2007
Time: 2:06:19 PM
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer: DOMAINDC
Description:
Windows cannot access the file gpt.ini for GPO cn={178C96BF-2CF0-4B0C-A454-2D1F344C8CB2},cn=policies,cn=system,DC=domain,DC=domain,DC=com. The file must be present at the location <\\domain.domain.com\SysVol\domain.domain.com\Policies\{178C96BF-2CF0-4B0C-A454-2D1F344C8CB2}\gpt.ini>. (Access is denied. ). Group Policy processing aborted.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at URL.

Wondering if there is something configured wrong? The server is our PDC, we have two Secondary DC's.. and DeviceLock is reporting to a seperate SQL Server. The other server's logs are clean, it is only the PDC that has these errors.

Thanks, Kb

What DeviceLock version you are using?

The most likely reason for the error to be logged is insufficient access privileges to the shared resource. Are you able to access the file "gpi.ini" manually?
