Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrongly?
I need to install this cost-effective DLP solution for a small client, but my efforts are being frustrated!
It's a workgroup-based environment so I will have to install on individual PCs. However, whilst testing the evaluation copy, I find that my changes are not committed. Each time I closed the program and returned to it, I found that devices or protocol configs have reverted to their default settings.
Another thing is that any changes to the HTTP protocol settings kept crashing the web browsers under every 'managed' user profile instead of denying access based on context and/or time.
I need to be sure that this software will meet requirements before investing in it. Please advise if these behaviours are only specific to evaluation copies.
Thanks

Where are you making your Permissions and Protocol changes? Via the
DeviceLock Management Consoles or via the Service Settings Editor?

Ans: DeviceLock Service Settings Editor

The Service Settings Editor is a template only. It does not save your entries in the applet. You can use the Service Settings Editor to create and save an external settings (.dls) file to be applied to your endpoints via another means such as the DLManagement Consoles, Group Policy, etc. Once you exit the editor and reenter, you will not see your settings as they are not saved locally within that applet.

You can either apply your saved settings file to the endpoints using the DLManagement Console (for single machine configuration), via the DLEnterprise Manager Console (Set Service Settings plug-in, add your saved file and deploy to endpoints on a domain or within a Workgroup), via Group Policy, or other approved deployment means.
