We are introducing virtual Desktops on VmWare View (VDI).
What is the best solution to install the DL service? Deployment via GPO or include the DL service in our Basic / Goldenimage / Template to Clone this maschine? Will we get problems if we clone the service? Or there are other options? Thx |

It would be recommended to use a GPO rather than cloning due to having to rebuild the image anytime the service is updated. It is much easier to push updates via a GPO than to reimage each machine anytime there is an update. Each VM would require the use of a single license.

What other disadvantages between having GPO or simple cloning? What are the advantages of both? Device Locked!

Using a GPO results is automatic updates everytime the policy updates. Cloning does not offer this automatic update function. |
