I have rolled out Devicelock through group policy.
I want to use the Devicelock Enterprise manager to white list devices for individual PCS. However, when I white list a device for a user and they log off and log back on, group policy appears to override what I have added for the individual pc and the user can no longer access the device. I have not enabled the "override local policy" setting. Can you tell me if I can use local policy to white list devices through Devicelock Enterprise manager whilst the service is running with Group policy? Regards Helen |

No, you should use either Local policies for computers, either Group Policy. Both settings can not be merged. |

If both settings can not be merged, how can i configure in gpo, that only a special pc becomes a usb-whitelist entry? | ||

Whitelist entries are usually set by User or User Group and the whitelist entries deployed to all PC's so that your users can access their approved/whitelisted devices on any machine they are using. (thus also denying them access to other devices/ports on any machine(s) they may be using as well due to Devicelock settings)
If you wish to only apply the whitelist entries to certain PC's, then the best way would be to manage those particular PC's using local policy (DL Consoles to manage) and remove the Use Group Policy from the settings of those PC's. |
