Early customers of Devicelock 7 Endpoint DLP Suite win major discounts and benefits
March 1, 2011 – DeviceLock, Inc., a leading developer of endpoint data leak prevention software today announced the launch of special promotion programs for its new and existing customers to simplify the transition to the company’s recently released DeviceLock 7 Endpoint DLP Suite – the first version of its flagship product that extends its best-in-class endpoint port and device controls by incorporating essential content filtering capabilities and granular control over network communications.
The “DeviceLock 7 DLP Starter” program offers significant license discounts for new and existing DeviceLock customers that will buy or upgrade to the new product version in the promotional period ending August 31st, 2011. In addition, DeviceLock introduces a permanent “DeviceLock Free Search Server” program that grants a free license and maintenance for the Suite’s DeviceLock Search Server 7 (DLSS) component to any customer that buys a full-function license package for the Suite.
“A well-balanced set of contextual and content-aware DLP technologies in combination with its modular structure and incremental licensing make the new DeviceLock version practical for the mainstream corporate market and affordable for organizations of any size and budget, including small and medium-sized businesses,” said Ashot Oganesyan, DeviceLock CTO and Founder. “With the announced promotional programs, we aim at accelerating and simplifying the process for our existing and new customers. We strive to continually demonstrate that the deployment of DeviceLock’s effective yet simple endpoint DLP solution is absent the excessive initial investments typically associated with complex DLP projects using other solutions.”
According to the “DeviceLock 7 DLP Starter” program, if a new customer purchases one of DeviceLock 7’s optional components, specifically either NetworkLock™ or ContentLock™, together with the core DeviceLock 7 component, they will receive a 30% discount off the volume list price for either optional component. If a new customer purchases both NetworkLock and ContentLock modules along with DeviceLock 7, they will still receive 30% discount off the list price of NetworkLock but they will also receive a 50% discount off the list price of ContentLock. Existing DeviceLock customers with valid maintenance contracts will get even more benefits if they purchase NetworkLock or ContentLock components during the promotional program period. Existing DeviceLock customers in good standing on maintenance will receive 70% discount off the list price of either or both of the optional components. In addition, their current period of DeviceLock technical support, maintenance and upgrades will be extended for one year from the date of the additional component purchase.
With the separate “DeviceLock Free Search Server” program, when purchasing new licenses of all three of the DLP Suite’s components, including DeviceLock 7, ContentLock 7 and NetworkLock 7, or when upgrading existing licenses of an earlier DeviceLock version with valid technical support terms up to all three DLP Suite components, customers will receive a free license for DeviceLock Search Server 7 (DLSS 7) for the aggregate amount of acquired “full” DLP Suite licenses. In addition, free technical support and upgrade are provided for the DLSS 7.0 license for the term of the maintenance contract for the “full” Suite licenses.

The DeviceLock 7 Endpoint DLP Suite addresses the needs of enterprises that require a simple and affordable approach to preventing unauthorized data leaks from Microsoft Windows® endpoints. The Suite’s core component, DeviceLock 7, exerts contextual control over local data channels on protected computers including all peripheral devices and ports, connected smartphones/PDA’s, and documents printing locally or to the network. With the separately licensed NetworkLock component, contextual protocol controls are extended to FTP/S, HTTP/HTTPS, SMTP/S, Telnet, instant messengers, webmail, and social networking applications such as Twitter™, MySpace™ and Facebook®.
Another new module, ContentLock, enables the monitoring and filtering of textual content in files and data objects based on content rules that leverage context, regular expressions, numerical conditioning and Boolean operators. Pre-configured templates for detecting common data patterns, sensitive keywords, document properties, file types, and more are simple to configure or copy to make customized rules.
DeviceLock Search Server performs comprehensive full-text searches of DeviceLock’s central database of shadow copies and log records. DLSS can generate detailed snapshots of any content that users have transferred from their endpoint computers through local ports to peripheral devices. DLSS aids in the labor-intensive processes of information security compliance auditing, incident investigations and forensic analysis, making fact-finding faster, more precise and more convenient.
